Frequently Asked Questions

If you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers!

We got ‘cha! Head to our quiz to find your perfect match.

We take your safety incredibly seriously, so we only stock toys made from body-safe silicone. Silicone is the absolute highest quality material for sex toys. It’s non-porous and easy to clean, so toys won’t harbour nasty bacteria (as long as you clean them thoroughly and regularly).

You can read our 'What's a body-safe sex toy?' blog to find out more.

Don’t stress – all of our toys come with comprehensive instructions!

You can also check out our very detailed product descriptions for tips on how to care for and get the best out of your new friend.

All of our toys are splash proof, which means you can clean them with antibacterial cleaning spray. Many of our toys are indeed waterproof (yay!). Check the product description to see if yours is.

Waterproof’ means you’re A-OK to take it in the shower or bath. But don’t put it in the washing machine or the dishwasher (and the salty ocean waves are probably not the best idea either…).

Yes, you definitely can (and if you ask us, you should!). But stay away from silicone-based lubricants, as well as oils and creams like suntan lotion, sunscreen, lip care products, essential oils, coconut oil and edible oils. These will void your warranty, and they can cause irreversible damage to your toy.

Water-based lubricants are the best choice. They’re safe for you, and safe for your toy.

Care and cleaning

When your toy first arrives, clean it before your first use, so you can wash away any impurities from the manufacturing process.

The best way to store your toy is in a lint-free, antibacterial toy bag.

We recommend Pjur Med Cleaning Spray. It’s antibacterial, tailored to match your body’s natural pH value and suitable for intimate areas and sensitive skin.

Payments and pricing

We accept all major credit cards (including AMEX).

We also welcome Apple Pay, Zippay and AfterPay payments.

You'll see us pop up on your bank statement as 'Joy For Women'.

Shipping and delivery

Everywhere! We send our packages (very discreetly) via Australia Post, so we can reach you anywhere the posties go.

Unfortunately, no. Right now, we only ship to Australian addresses.

We offer free standard shipping for all orders over $130.00!

Standard shipping for orders under $130.00: $10.00

Express shipping: $29.00

We ship same-day for orders placed before 1:00pm on business days. We’re super fast, but sometimes Australia Post isn’t.

If you’re in a capital city, Australia Post usually delivers express parcels the next business day. Regular parcels can take three to six business days.

Sometimes Australia Post delivers outside of these timeframes, which is unfortunately outside of our control.

You can read more about shipping and delivery (including expected timeframes and what to do if you experience a delay) on our shipping details page.

Don’t worry – we’re super discreet. Your package will come in plain packaging, securely wrapped inside an Australia Post satchel. The sender will be ‘Dina’, not ‘Joy For Women’.

Yep! We send all our parcels via Australia Post with a tracking number. We'll email the tracking number to you when we pop your parcel in the post.

Joy For Women is an online-only store, so we can't accommodate in-person collections. But we post same-day for all orders placed before 1pm on business days, and we'll get your purchase to you as quickly as we can!

Refunds and exchanges

Unfortunately, due to the intimate nature of sex toys, we’re unable to accept returns and exchanges for change of mind. Make sure you check out our uber-detailed product descriptions and our sex toy quiz before you purchase, so you can choose the absolute best toy for you.

Check out our Returns & Exchanges policy for more info.

Unfortunately, no. Just like undies, earrings and other 'sensitive' products, we're unable to accept returns.

Check out our Returns & Exchanges policy for more info.

Absolutely! If your toy is faulty in any way, we’ll exchange it for the exact same product under the manufacturer’s warranty.

Get in touch with us at contact@joyforwomen.com.au and we'll talk you through the next steps.

Check out our Returns & Exchanges policy for more info.

If your toy has stopped working within the manufacturer's warranty period please let us know asap!

You can email us at contact@joyforwomen.com.au and we'll talk you through the next steps. We'll need you to clean and sanitise your toy and return to us along with the charger.

And just a little reminder: Remember not to use silicone lubricants with silicone toys (here's why). Doing so voids your warranty and this means we can't organise a replacement for you... Only use water-based lubes with your sex toys, please and thank you!

Check out our Returns & Exchanges policy for more info.
